Global warming.

November 11, 2014

Just a few hours ago, I sat and chatted with friends in the lounge at work. Looking outside, the weather is hot, really makes me feel uncomfortable. Another was compared with 5 or 10 years ago.

I wonder how it is 5 or 10 years from now? Of course, the more heat. Just look at the increasingly rapid development.

Felled trees that cool the earth. If there are no more trees, of course it will get hot. And of course, the more the disease will arise.

The effects of global warming will accelerate the melting of ice at the north and south poles. And when the ice began to melt away with a lot, it will result in an increase in sea water. And if the sea water is increased, the low land areas will sink and then remove them from the map!

It has not been talked about a disease resulting from the extremely hot weather. Dry areas are highly flammable, and if it is not controlled, it will produce a haze of smoke and then "jerebu" will happen.

If there is no awareness of right now, we certainly could not afford to control it in the future.

Anyway we did not leave our future generations with the beauty of the forest, we give them about hot weather and a lot of diseases.

I give you an example, the effect will occur as a result of global warming:

-Hurricanes and other storms are likely to become stronger.

-Species that depend on one another may become out of sync. For example, plants could bloom earlier than their pollinating insects become active.

-Floods and droughts will become more common. Rainfall in Ethiopia, where droughts are already common, could decline by 10 percent over the next 50 years.

-Less fresh water will be available. If the Quelccaya ice cap in Peru continues to melt at its current rate, it will be gone by 2100, leaving thousands of people who rely on it for drinking water and electricity without a source of either.

-Some diseases will spread, such as malaria carried by mosquitoes.

-Ecosystems will change—some species will move farther north or become more successful; others won’t be able to move and could become extinct. Wildlife research scientist Martyn Obbard has found that since the mid-1980s, with less ice on which to live and fish for food, polar bears have gotten considerably skinnier.  Polar bear biologist Ian Stirling has found a similar pattern in Hudson Bay.  He fears that if sea ice disappears, the polar bears will as well.

This may be in part a result, it may be more than that!

So, what can we do?

Start planting trees. Stop cutting down trees for development. Recycle paper. The biggest cause of global warming is the carbon dioxide released when fossil fuels -- such as oil and coal, are burned for energy. So when you save energy, you fight global warming and save money, too.

It's easy is not it? We can do it together. Along with keeping the earth for future generations. Yoshh!
